The Mexican Coin Magic Ad Desk: The Rules and Regulations for Usage

The Mexican Coin Magic Ad Desk is designed solely for use of its registered subscribers only. If you have not registered and been given a registry number, we will not accept your ad or listing for display here. Furthermore Mexican Coin Magic makes no warranty as to value, the stated condition or authenticity of any item placed on the Ad Desk!
Remember at all times the Ad Desk is not an auction site, so please state your price clearly in U.S. Dollars. Also your sales terms and conditions, how payment is to be made, return privileges, and shipping terms and conditions. If you are caught cheating you will not be allowed to use this site again, ever!
There are no three-strike rules here. Yes, we know at times there may be disagreements as to attribution, condition and grading differences of some items by two parties. It happens every day all over the world. But if the seller and buyer cannot reach a happy agreement, then we require the seller to return the price of the item or items to buyer within ten days after receiving back the his or her item or items; in the condition they were sent. We are sorry, but these are the rules if this doesnt happen, then you-- the seller, will be banded from using this site again ever!
But the dissatisfied buyer in these cases is always required to pay all shipping costs during and for these transactions. I hope this seems fair and works for everyone. If we have continued problems from a single buyer, he or she may also be banned from using the Ad Desk for abuses. The Ad Desk is a privilege granted to our subscribers and is not mentioned in the United States Bill of Rights; so do not abuse the privilege!
All items will be placed on the website for a minimum of 90 days or until we publish a completely new issue of Mexican Coin Magic. As you sell items listed, you should notify us so it can be shown as sold, this will keep people from bugging you about the item. If you have more than one of the advertised items, you should state it in the original ad in your description. At the end of 90 days your item may automatically be removed from the site unless you resubmit or renew the item again for registration for another 90 days.
Yes, dealers may place items on this site, but they must fully list their names, phone numbers and addresses when doing so and state they are dealers. Each dealer will be limited as to the number of items each may list at one time, please contact Mexican Coin Magic for our complete dealer terms and conditions for using our site to sell individual items or place space ads.
You may elect to sell any item from or about Mexico on the Ad Desk ... if it deals with Mexican history or Numismatics; sorry you can not advertise any firearms, knives, swords or other weapons on this website. We also require that all-circulating counterfeits, fakes or buttons be clearly labeled as such. We also reserve the right not to allow phony items to be advertised on this website; for example we will not accept the Maximilian gold fantasy Pesos or medals to be sold here. Physically altered coins should not be sold at any time on our website or magazine.
You can also place want ads for coins, books, catalogs and other historical items you would like to purchase in the Wanted to Buy Items ad section. Clearly state what you want to buy and in what condition or grade you want to purchase the item in the ad, if that is important.
Please remember grading Mexican Numismatic items is a subjective art form and not a precise science, therefore a coin or document can and will sometimes be graded differently by individual parties. We will not, nor can we (Mexican Coin Magic staff) be grading police or act as moderators for grading disagreements between buyers and sellers!
If you are interested in using the Mexican Coin Magic Ad Desk to either buy or sell something or place a space ad on the website please contact us for a contract and submission form. You must also have a Mexican Coin Magic Registry Number in good standing before you may place any ads! This Registry Number is free for all collectors, so sign up now, before you need to place an ad, because it may take up to two weeks to get your registration number.
All collector listings for the Ad Desk must be submitted on an Ad Desk Submittal Form! You will receive copies of a customized ad submittal form made just for you, when you request one, this is of course after you register and get your Registry Number.
Auction houses, book & catalog dealers, coin supplies dealers, and coin dealers interested in using the Ad Desk must contact us directly at MexCoinMagic@aol.com or FoxLairAJ@aol,com for forms and an advertising contract. We offer special reciprocal arrangements with foreign coin dealers and auction houses. Please contact us if you are interested?
All Collector listings placed on the Ad Desk in the Items For Sale column cost $2.50 each plus 2.5% of the sales price if you submit your ad electronically on your own personal Submittal Form. These ads may include up to two scans, per listing.
If you submit your form by mail the price per listing or ad is $2.50 to list, $2.50 to convert your ad to electronic media and $2.50 per scan of any coin, photo or book, plus the 2.5% commission if you sell the listed item per issue.
All Collector listings placed on the Ad Desk Items Wanted to Buy column cost $2.50 with no commission for purchasing, but all of these "Items Wanted to Buy" must be submitted electronically on your customized submittal form.
All Dealer listings placed on the Ad Desk in the Items for Sale column cost $5.00 each plus 5% of the sales price if you submit your ad electronically and these ads may include up two photos or scams, per listing. If you submit your form by mail the price per listing or ad is $5.00, $2.50 to convert and $2.50 per each scan of a coin or photo, plus the 5% commission if you sell the listed item per issue.
All Dealer listings placed on the Ad Desk Items Wanted to Buy column cost $5.00 with no commission for purchasing.
Your Ad Desk ad or listing will be placed in the next available issue of the Ad Desk. To insure that your ad will be in the next issue, we require that we receive your completed submittal form on or before the 15th of the month before you wish the listing to be placed.
Know what you want to buy? Go to the major item directory to find it, or if you want to scan the entire desk you may do this too. For example I would like to buy a Mo 1833 ML Mexico City 8 Escudo in Very Fine or better condition. Heres what I would do:
Go to the Ad Desk "Items for Sale" and look for the Republic 8 Escudo you want. Later, as our ad volume grows, we will separate all of our ads into categories making it easier to find individual items, but because our volume is so small at this time we will dispense with this formality for now. If you didnt find what you were looking for, then you could place a Item Wanted to Buy ad for the coin.
"Items Wanted to Buy": Wanted a nice Very Fine or better Mexico City Mo 1833 ML 8 Escudo. I will pay three times current Krause book value for any undamaged coin in any grade above Very Fine. Please contact me at...
